About Me

Kira Mendoza MEd, LPCA, “The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” - Carl Rogers. In this process, we must find our direction to live the good life. Once we find a direction, as humans, we can begin to live as intended, in a “good state of mind.” If I can help you determine your direction through the counseling process, then I have served my purpose, and you have found yours. I graduated with my BA in arts of psychology from the Internationally University of Florida in 2015. After understanding that what I wanted to do was to help, I began my new career path as a counselor. I am currently a Graduate student in a Master’s program for Clinical Mental Health at Springfield College. As part of the program, I am also completing my Play Therapy and CPRT (Child-Parent Relationship Therapy) certification. Children live in a complex world made for adults; play is a child’s language, and the toys are their words. Through play therapy, I work alongside the child to help them become self-aware, independent, self-sufficient, focused, tiny humans and help the parents maintain the stability of the children for the family’s being. My focus remains on all family members. Hoping to be able to help families and all their members reach a new level within their relationship.
